The inaugural Dive Bar Songwriters Meetup was sparsely attended but a lot of fun.  I was floored by the quality of writing and musicianship from the people that showed up.

Archer is hosting a Songwriters Meetup this Wednesday at Rilea’s Pub.  If it goes well we’ll make it a monthly occurrence.

There are a lot of “jams” and open mics in town, but there’s a real dearth of opportunities for songwriters to talk shop free of distraction.  We highly value good songwriting.  In the words of Tom Waits, “The world is a hellish place, and bad writing is destroying the quality of our suffering.”  😉
